Welcome to The Amy

Located just a few minutes from the Portland State University campus, The Amy was designed with the student experience in mind. Our furnished apartments include a Murphy bed and a desk-and-chair set for easy studying. Several large common areas throughout the building promote community and student connection while the private studio floor plans allow for residents to have their personal space.

A beautifully landscaped courtyard is the perfect place to unwind with friends as you’ll enjoy the barbecue grill and the fire pit. The Amy provides kitchenettes as well as several community kitchens to gather with neighbors. You’ll also be sure to appreciate the four convenient key-fob accessed laundry facilities to simplify those weekend chores.

The Neighborhood

The Amy is located in a well-designed residential neighborhood known for attraction-packed Washington Park, with the Oregon Zoo, the serene Portland Japanese Garden, and the Rose Garden. You’ll be moments away from the shuttle service to Portland Community College, Lewis and Clark College, and Oregon Health Sciences University. We’re also located a short walk to the MAX Orange and Yellow lines. Pick up those grocery essentials at one of our nearby supermarkets, grab a latte at your choice of local coffee shops or venture into one of the nearby unique cafes. By making your home at The Amy, you’ll have easy access to everything the city has to offer.

Our standard lease length is 12 months; however, alternate lease-length terms may be offered based upon availability and floor plan. Pricing may vary depending on lease length.

Application screening fees are currently $25 per applicant.

If you are approved you will need to pay a $150 holding deposit within 72 hours to secure the apartment. An additional $350 security deposit must also be paid by move in. You can pay this either by check, money order, credit/debit card, or through your online tenant portal.

All applicants must satisfy our student status requirement of being enrolled a minimum of halftime at a traditional college or university, an online school, or at a trade school. In addition, CHNW completes a screening that includes criminal background, credit history, and rental history. Since CHNW serves students who often may not have established credit or rental history, lacking either does not affect the outcome of the screening.
